Portugal pays off for Hatters

Hatters boss John Still believes the pre-season training camp to Portugal has been a huge success, writes Mike Simmonds.

Town’s squad arrived back yesterday after spending a week away together, before their first pre-season friendly at Boreham Wood this afternoon.

He said: “It’s been very, very good, I’m very pleased.

“It’s been very good for new players to get to know each other, not just out-and-out football wise, but the personal side as well.

“We’ll get a real benefit out of it long term too as it’s been first class.”
