Poku looking forward to Hatters return

Former Town midfielder Godfrey Poku is looking forward to making his return to Kenilworth Road at the weekend with Southport, writes Mike Simmonds

The 22-year-old, who made 29 appearances for Town after joining from St Albans in 2009, left Luton during the summer to move to Mansfield Town.

Surprisingly, he hasn’t featured at Field Mill though and was loaned to the Sandgrounders on transfer deadline day.

Stags boss Paul Cox had heralded the youngster as an important signing when he paid an undisclosed fee for his services, even claiming he would go on to play in the Football League, but despite the hype, Poku was never given a chance at his new club.
