Play-offs will be tighter than ever says Murray

INJURED defender Freddie Murray believes the play-offs are even more of a lottery than usual this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

The Irish full back has been forced to watch from the sidelines this year as Luton just about made it into the top five with a last day win at Fleetwood Town.

Wrexham stand in Luton’s way over two legs, with Hatters facing either York or Mansfield in the final at Wembley should they get there.

Murray said: “I think the play-offs are anyone’s this year.

“There are four teams in there and on their day, they can do each other.

“It’s going to be very tight, form’s going to go out the window, we’ve seen that.”
