Pilkington eyes Notts County clash

TOWN goalkeeper Kevin Pilkington would love Hatters to be paired with former club Notts County in the FA Cup second round after knocking out Northampton Town yesterday, writes Mike Simmonds.

Luton are ball number three for the draw which takes place on ITV1 and the FA website at around 2.40pm.

Pilkington spent five years at Meadow Lane between 2005-10, making almost 150 appearances and would like to go back to the League One high-fliers who eased past Accrington Stanley 4-1 in their first round tie.

The recalled stopper said: “I’d like to say Notts County. I had five good years there, they were very good to me.

“It would be nice to go back again and see the fans and say goodbye properly.”

Manager Gary Brabin didn’t have a preferred opposition in mind as he added: “I’ll probably be a little bit excited when the draw comes out but at the moment I’m genuinely thinking about next weeks game and see how we’re doing regarding the knocks for next week.”
