Parry has undergone surgery on a hernia, while Lacey has suffered damage to his metatarsal.

On Parry, boss John Still said: “We’ve had that (operation) done and there’s been no problems.

“It’s all been quite successful, so I think we’re looking at four weeks for him. We’ll hopefully keep hold of the players that we’ve got on loan until the injuries that we do have, have cleared up, but we’ll have to see.”

Meanwhile, on Lacey, Still continued: “He kicked the bottom of the guys’ foot and has had a little crack in the metatarsal, but it’s nothing serious.

“What we’ve done with him is be as cautious as we can be, because we don’t need to be rush him because of the loans we brought in.”

On-loan Brentford centre half Alfie Mawson, who had to come off at half time during his debut against Alfreton, is back in contention though as Still said: “He’s trained all week, without any problems, so we’ll have a chat with him tomorrow to see exactly how he feels.

“Joe’s (Davis) done brilliant as well. He needed some games, a bit like Pelly (Ruddock Mpanzu), as they needed to get away from development football or reserve team football and play some first team football.”

Defender Anthony Charles made his comeback from injury in the 2-0 FA Trophy victory over Wrexham and has suffered no further setback as Still said: “We’re all really pleased that he played one on the trot which is very unsual.

“Hopefully we can take our time with him and give him enough training over the Christmas period.”

Another player who is back in full training his striker Alex Wall, with the forward netting a stunning free kick against Northampton in a development match on Tuesday.

Still said: “He looked immense the other day. Andy King who looked after Northampton’s team described him as a beast, because he really was on it.

“Once again, I can affored to be careful. I don’t want to bring him back too quck, but he’s had three consecutive games now.

“I don’t think he’s played 90 minutes yet, whenever he looks like he’s getting tired, we get him off, so he doesn’t get any injuries.

“But he is looking a lot better and by the beginning of January, I think he’ll be 100 per cent fit.”

Fellow striker Jon Shaw wasn’t ready to make his long-awaited comeback though, as Still added: “We’re going steady with Jon again, he still feels a little bit in his calf.

“It’s been so long I’m really really anxious to avoid trying to push too hard, we don’t need to.

“If we were in a different situation, we might be pushing him a bit more, but we don’t need to get caught out.”
