Out of contract Pilkington wants to remain a Hatter

HATTERS skipper George Pilkington has confirmed he wants to stay at Luton Town next season, writes Mark Wood.

The 30-year-old centre-half is one of around 14 players who are out of contract at Kenilworth Road this summer and he is hoping his services will be retained.

He said: “My contract’s up this season so I don’t know what my future holds, I haven’t spoken to the manager or anything.

“I love the club, I’m bitterly disappointed with the result.

“I so desperately wanted to be part of taking this club forward and getting ourselves back into the Football League.

“But we will come back big and strong next season.”
