Osano asserts he did it by the book

PURELY the lure of League football for the first time and a secure future were behind Curtis Osano’s move to League Two AFC Wimbledon, writes Mark Wood.

He admitted that the Hatters had expressed an interest in keeping him for next season, but claimed nothing concrete was on the table and so he felt compelled to realise his ambition of playing League football.

The 25-year-old full-back was responding to assertions he’d reneged on a deal last week as he left Kenilworth Road with a heavy heart after seven years of plying his trade in the Conference.

But yesterday, Hatters managing director Gary Sweet was sticking to his guns.
