O’Donnell ready to impress the Heed Army

The Tynesiders have the chance to move up to third in the table with victory over Welling as O’Donnell, who joined Gateshead on loan for a month last week, said: “We brought a few to Grimsby on Saturday and being in the play-offs, we’ve been getting a few more through the turnstiles.

“It’s a nice place to be, a great city Newcastle, with some great people who are very, very passionate about their football.

“If Newcastle are away then Gateshead get more at home. It would be nice to get another three points tonight against Welling and try to cement that play-off place.”
