They are set to host the Italians at Mourneview Park in a UEFA European U21 Championship qualifier on Wednesday, March 5, kick-off 4pm.

He said: “It’s my second cap, I’ve been playing for Northern Ireland since I was U16 so I’ve just come through the stages now and playing for the U21s is good, it’s a step up and it’s almost men’s football. There’s a lot of boys in the Football League and that so it’s always good for me.

“At Northern Ireland we’re not as competitive as some of the big nations like Italy, but we always try and work hard and do our best against them and if we can nick a result it will be great as well.”
