New boy Stevenson wants to rocket into Town first team
The 21-year-old moved to Kenilworth Road from Histon, along with Danny Fitzsimons, on Monday.
On signing him, manager John Still said: “He’s a player who can develop and can enjoy a good future. I’m not saying he can go straight into the first team now, but he might be because he’s got enough about him.”

Hide AdStevenson is aiming to make that sooner rather than later though as he said: “I’ve got the mindset that a lot of new players are coming in and I’ve got a pre-season to prove myself.
“So it’s my position if I want it, if I do enough, but I’m aware it’s a strong squad.
“If I can play the first game of the season I’d be delighted.
“There are going to be places up for grabs, training’s going to be good, high intensity because everyone’s going to want to show what they can do.”

Hide AdIt won’t be the first time that Stevenson has experienced the Kenilworth Road crowd as he made his Histon debut at Luton back in 2010 during a 5-1 defeat.
The midfielder has just completed a highly productive season in Blue Square Bet North for Histon, finishing top goalscorer with 11 to his name, something he hopes keep in his game at Luton.
