Neilson has no regrets over Hatters move

The wideman, who turned 26 today, was released last month after making just eight appearances for the club.
After being signed in January from Conference rivals Grimsby, Neilson saw his spell at Kenilworth hampered by Town’s cup runs, as he couldn’t play in either the FA Cup or FA Trophy.

“The cup run was a great run for the club, the players won’t ever forget it, but it was just one of those things.”
When new boss John Still took over, Neilson was struggling with a hernia problem that needed operating on as he added: “From the moment he came in, I was injured.
“We had a discussion before the end and realistically he wasn’t going to get a good chance to see me, how can you offer me a contract when you haven’t seen me play?”
