Morgan-Smith in line to feature against Hinckley

TOWN’s joint leading scorer Amari Morgan-Smith could feature for Hatters in their FA Trophy second round replay with Hinckley United tonight.

The nine-goal marksman made a welcome return from his hamstring injury as a second half substitute in Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Southport.

Luton boss Gary Brabin handed full debuts to Alasan Ann and Colby McAdams in the first match last Wednesday, while Jake Woolley and Jerry Nash also made their debuts from the bench and the manager is expecting more of the same at Kenilworth Road.

He said: “It’ll be a similar side that played in the first game at Hinckley.

“It’s a great opportunity for some of the younger lads and those players who have been on the fringe of things to play 90 minutes.

“They will relish playing at Kenilworth Road under the floodlights and I hope we can draw a decent crowd to give them some support.

“In an ideal world - and the groundsman will back me up on this - we could do without three homes games in a week but we’ve got to get on with it.”

Winger James Dance will miss the clash though as Brabin continued: “James has taken a knock to the ankle and we’re doing tests to evaluate it further.”

Opponents Hinckley were involved in an amazing Blue Square North clash with Stalybridge Celtic at the weekend as after trailing 4-0, they fought back to lead 5-4, only to concede a late leveller.
