Morgan-Smith leaves Hatters

HATTERS have confirmed that out of contract striker Amari Morgan-Smith has not been offered a new deal for next season.

The 23-year-old frontman hit 10 goals in an injury-hit campaign last term where he was restricted to just 21 appearances.

After signing from Ilkeston Town in September 2010, Morgan-Smith made 48 appearances for Luton, scoring 18 goals - including a strike on his debut in a 2-0 victory over Mansfield.

Boss Paul Buckle told the club’s official website: “Since I’ve been at the club it’s been unfortunate that I haven’t seen enough game time of Amari.

“It is with regret that I have decided not to offer him a new deal but I wish him all the best and thank him for his efforts during his time with us.”
