Money: Hatters ‘got out of jail’ with late leveller

With time running out, second-half sub Cullen swivelled to volley home Cameron McGeehan’s header, sending over 2,000 Town fans ecstatic.

Speaking to BBC Cambridgeshire, Money said: “They know they’ve got out of jail, you can see by the reaction when they scored.

“It was the only shot on target they’ve had and shows how good our organisation was and our defensive work.

“Fair play to them, they keep going, had options on the bench and are able to chase it.

“For the last five minutes we were put under pressure and pressure we didn’t really want.”

The result saw Town maintain their 15 point advantage over the U’s with just 11 games to go.

Money once again reiterated his claim that his former club were the ones heading to League Two this season though.

He continued: “For me, the league was over before tonight. They’ve reacted as though it wasn’t, but it was and in terms of going forwards where want to go to, it was a good step forward.

“We were brave both with and without the ball and we’ve more than matched the team that are going to win the league.

“The most important thing for us was to show some progress. We have to get back to where we were before Christmas.

“We know we’ve been very inconsistent, especially in the league. We need to finish the season strongly and hopefully get ourselves in the play-offs with some momentum and form.”
