Midfielders power Hatters comeback with majestic long range strikes

Screamers from midfielders Jonathan Smith and Andy Parry helped to turn Saturday’s trip to Tamworth Town’s way as the Hatters triumphed 4-3, writes Mark Wood.

Smith’s 30-yard pile-driver to level the scores at 1-1 was the pick of the goals.

But Smith doesn’t believe it is his own entry for goal of the season, deferring to Alex Wall’s wonder winner against Lincoln City.

He added: “I’d go with Alex Wall’s for now, just because of the importance of it as well, it got us the three points at the time so I think I’d probably go with that one.”
