Martin relishing Aston Villa test

Hatters winger David Martin is delighted to be up against Premier League side Aston Villa in pre-season, writes Mike Simmonds.

Manager Paul Lambert is are expected to send a full strenth side to Kenilworth Road for the clash on Tuesday, July 23.

Martin said: “You want to be tested and these are the games you build your base on for the first game of season.

“Towards the later stages of pre-season are when the gaffer will build his team that will be walking out on the first game of the season.

“They are the games you need to be at your peak.”
