Luton kids defeat Wycombe
LUTON Town’s U18s bounced back from their disappointing exit from the FA Youth Cup with a 5-2 victory over Wycombe Wanderers at Ely Way on Saturday as they continued their fine form in the Youth Alliance Cup.
Nick Burtenshaw, James Ferguson (2) and Alasan Ann (2) were all on target as the result returned Hatters to the top of their group with a game in hand.
Manager Paul Driver said: “Despite being short of our best, particularly in the first half and towards the end of the match, we have comfortably won the game. We were way, way better in possession last week at Dereham and got beaten – it just shows how weird the game can be.”
