JJ O’Donnell made his debut for Gateshead during their 2-2 draw at Grimsby Town in the Skrill Premier on Saturday, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 22-year-old signed for Heed on Friday and completed 90 minutes for his new side as they remained in the hunt for a play-off place.

Both Jim Stevenson and David Martin started as Dartford lost their 11th game from 12 with a 1-0 defeat at Salisbury on Saturday.

Martin was replaced on 69 minutes, while Stevenson had the full 90, with the paperwork not completed in time for Alex Wall to feature.

Lathaniel Rowe-Turner was forced to sit out as Alfreton’s home clash with Tamworth was postponed on Thursday night.

Charlie Smith and Jerome Jibodu had the weekend off as Biggleswade Town’s home game against Truro City and Hitchin’s visit to Bashley were both postponed.

Meanwhile, striker Jake Woolley came off the bench in the closing stages for St Neots during their 1-1 draw at St Albans City in the same division.
