Lawless signs on to achieve promotion goal
The burning ambition of securing promotion back into the Football League with Luton Town was the main reason behind Alex Lawless’s decision to sign a new two year deal at the club, writes Mike Simmonds.
Lawless, who had been out of contract this summer admitted there was contact from clubs higher up the football echelon, but leaving was never on his mind.
He said: “There was (interest), but I don’t worry about those type of things as Luton was where I wanted to be in the end.

Hide Ad“Having been around the club as long as I have now, I realise how much and how many people want it (promotion).
“The club are more than capable of getting promotion and that’s most definitely the aim.”
