Lawless laments Town home form

Hatters midfielder Alex Lawless believes his side should start relishing playing at Kenilworth Road this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

Town have taken just 15 points out of a possible 30 so far, a run that has seriously hindered their title challenge, with Saturday’s 2-0 reverse to Dartford their third home defeat already.

Hatters’ away form has been a revelation, with six league victories on the road already and Lawless said: “You’d like to think it would help with so many fans cheering you on.

“To get them on your side you need to start the game better, so that’s the key for us now, and massively so for the rest of the season at home.”

Town were booed during parts of the weekend’s clash, while fans let the players and, in particular, manager Paul Buckle know of their frustration in no uncertain terms on the final whistle.
