Lacey looking to make his mark with Hatters

Up-and-coming centre-half Alex Lacey hopes he has finally caught up with his team-mates’ fitness after making his FA Cup debut in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Dorchester Town, writes Mark Wood.

A dislocated shoulder earlier in the season followed by niggles and illness had curtailed Lacey’s development as the 19-year-old said: “I was very happy to make my first appearance in the FA Cup.

“I’ve been on the bench a few times a few years ago, so being back in and around the first team is a great feeling.”
