Kovacs: Released Luton trio will be snapped up quickly

LUTON defender Janos Kovacs believes Danny Crow, Dan Gleeson and Shane Blackett will have no problems finding new clubs after they were let go by Luton this week.

The trio were all out of contract were not offered new deals by Town boss Paul Buckle.

Kovacs said: “All three players are very experienced ones and they did a lot of hard work for the football club, so I’m pretty sure we will miss their experience.

“The gaffer made his decision and he has to get the squad together.

“This is one of the toughest sides of football that sometimes you get released, sometimes you’re on the transfer list like I was at Hereford.

“I think they will find their next club, next contract as well, so I wish them all the best. All these three are very good lads, so will be a big miss, but we just have to get on with it.”

Town managing director Gary Sweet continued: “It’s part of the process of clearing the decks as such.

“None of them are bad lads, they are great guys and we’ve enjoyed having them around the camp.

“We wish them well for the future and they deserve to get something good in football.”

Meanwhile, Sweet had news regarding pre-season, adding: “Friendlies and the pre-season schedule are all done. We will be making an announcement in the next two days.”
