Kovacs dominates awards ceremony

DEFENDER Janos Kovacs has dominated the end-of-season awards at Kenilworth Road.

Having been awarded the Loyal Luton Supporters Club and Bobbers Travel Club player of the year awards before Saturday’s win over Kidderminster, the giant Hungarian’s mantelpiece was further filled with silverware at Luton Town Supporter’s presentation evening at Venue Central on Sunday night as he won Inernet Player Of The Season and Player Of The Season gongs.

Midfielder Keith Keane received The Ian Pearce Memorial trophy for most man of the match awards in a season and the Goal Of The Season trophy for his free-kick against Gateshead in the FA Trophy.

Adam Watkins won the Young Player Of The Season, Players’ Player went to keeper Mark Tyler, Jake Woolley was name the SOLYD Youth Development Player Of The Season and Young Members’ player was winger Robbie Willmott.

New this year was the Trust In Luton Outstanding Contribution award which went to Keith Brooksbank, who travels to almost every Luton game from his home in Liverpool.
