Howells hails Town third-straight clean sheet

Jake Howells hailed Luton’s third straight clean sheet from three really tough fixtures as they won 2-0 at last season’s Conference runners-up Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday, writes Mark Wood.

They followed up goalless draws at Forest Green Rovers and at home to Cambridge with victory, and Howells said: “It’s brilliant. We’ve had really tough games away from and at home and the next one’s not easy (Grimsby).

“But today I think another brilliant performance from the back four and the goalie and they deserve a clean sheet.

“We’re all coming together now and you can see it out on the pitch. Everyone is getting more confident in the jobs they want to do and what we’ve got to do.

“And we’re going into every game feeling confident we’re going to win.”
