Henry so glad to be back after spasms hit him hard

Fit-again captain Ronnie Henry was just glad to be back on the pitch after back spasms had ruled him out of Town’s first two league games of the season, writes Mark Wood.

The severity of the spasms had meant that Henry had feared he might be out for even longer, as he admitted: “I was itching to play the last week or so and unfortunately I got the back injury before the first game of the season which was massively disappointing for me, but it’s the way football goes and I had to get on with it and try and get fit as quickly as I could.

“Me, myself, when I get injuries I’m not the best person to be around and I thought it was going to be longer, because when it spasmed it did catch me hard.”
