Henry praises Luton’s togetherness

Town’s togetherness in Tuesday night’s win at Kidderminster Harriers was a telling factor for new skipper Ronnie Henry, writes Mark Wood.

He said: “Three points away from home is a big plus. We’ve got a gameplan and we stuck by it. The gaffer shows good faith in us and all the lads are confident in each other and I think it showed out there.

“Every time we scored a goal we were all round each other, celebrating together and the togetherness is very good, like I keep saying, and long may it continue.

“We started off well. The first half went to plan and we knew they’d come out and they were going to go for it, just like us at the weekend when we were 2-0 down.

“They had nothing to lose. We had to weather the storm a little bit in the second half, but that just shows you how strong we are at the back and the goalkeeper.

“We worked hard and managed to get the clean sheet in the end.”

Henry was pleased with the way they put Saturday’s first half showing against Gateshead behind them.

He added: “We were all disappointed and all knew we let ourselves down and the fans down.”
