Scott Rendell’s late strike saw the Hatters become the first non-league side to beat a top-flight team since Sutton United’s 2-1 triumph over Coventry City 24 years before as they polled over 60 per cent of the vote.

Luton will be presented with their trophy before the FA Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday, May 11 and now join previous winners Crawley Town, then in the Conference, who were crowned in 2011 after beating Derby, and Swindon Town, whose win over Wigan Athletic earned the Robins the honour last year.
