The 18-year-old made his third appearance of the campaign during Hatters’ 7-0’ humbling of Hereford yesterday, with his loan deal running out today.

Still said: “We’d like to try and do that as well. Norwich have been quite obliging, so hopefully we’ll get that done this week.”

McGeehan had a hand in two of the goals, with his shot fumbled by Daniel Lloyd Weston for Andre Gray’s opener and then nodding into Paul Benson’s path for the striker’s 12th of the season.

He took a blow to the arm and was substitute midway through the second period though as Still continued: “He hurt his arm and it was quite a bad knock, but we’ll get that looked at and I think he’s okay.”

After the game, McGeehan tweeted: “Great 7-0 win today everyone played great...got to keep on winning - fans were unreal, much appreciated!

“Nice to get two assists, bangers were scored today @PellyRuddock and no surprise @AndreGee1 bagged another hattrick, elbow ok too.”
