Lawless, 27, pictured, joined the Hatters from York City in 2010 and has played 75 times, scoring seven goals.

Carney, 18, made his debut as a substitute in the 2-1 FA Trophy victory at Welling United in December 2010, before suffering a broken leg for Town’s U18s in an FA Youth Cup tie.

He is now back to full fitness though and returned to pre-season training with the first team on Monday.

Ann, also 18, earned his first appearance for Luton in the Trophy, coming off the bench in the second half of the 4-0 win over Uxbridge in January 2011, while also featuring in the same competition last season.

Manager Paul Buckle said: “It’s great to have these three lads on board for next season.

“Alex is only 27 but has bags of experience while Alasan and Newman are up-and-coming youngsters who have an awful lot of potential.

“For those two, the hard work starts now – they have become professionals and are now part of the first team squad. It’s up to them to impress me.

“Our club has a terrific history of producing young talent and, with the help of senior pros like Alex, I am confident that they will flourish and become important players for us.”
