Hatters to field starlets in Supermarine clash

A NUMBER of Town’s talented youngsters are set to figure in Saturday’s FA Trophy first round tie against Swindon Supermarine.

Luton manager Gary Brabin intimated that the likes of Alex Lacey and JJ O’Donnell, who have both enjoyed productive loans spells this season, are likely to feature.

The boss said: “We’ve certainly got a number of lads who have been out on loan lined up to play on Saturday.

“We’ve got players as well who need to get up to speed.

“We won’t be taking the game lightly.”

Opponents Submarine are struggling in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division, as they sit fourth bottom with just four wins all season.

They warmed up for their trip to Kenilworth Road with an 8-1 Wiltshire Premier Shield semi-final first leg win over Chippenham on Tuesday.

The match was marred by an injury to Marine front man Bradley Gray, who suffered suspected ligament damage and is almost certain to miss Saturday’s clash now.

Before the match, joint manager Gary Horgan said: “It’s not like we’ve got a big squad so we haven’t got the luxury of resting players.

“We should be fresh and I’m sure the lads will have one eye on Saturday and will want to impress.”
