Hatters to cast their eye over ‘the Spaniard’ at Dunstable Town this evening
The 25-year-old full-back was an unused sub on Tuesday night as the Hatters shocked Premier League giants Aston Villa in a pre-season encounter at Kenilworth Road.
Hatters boss John Still is a big fan of Nunez, who has played almost 100 times for the likes of Atlético Madrid B, Tenerife and Rayo B.

Hide AdOn who the mystery trialist on Tuesday night was, Still said: “The Spaniard. He’s going to play against Dunstable in the week. He’s come over from Spain.
“I like him, so I’m going to have a look at him. I might have put him on today but I thought the game was at a balance where I didn’t really want to disturb the back four, but we will look at him at Dunstable on Thursday.”
The full-back berths are probably where the Hatters lack most strength-in-depth and Still revealed that he can play either “right-back or left-back”.
Speaking to our sister paper the Luton News/Dunstable Gazette this week Still admitted he hadn’t quite given up yet on strengthening his squad and entry on the night is £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.

Still added: “We’re talking to them and they’re talking to clubs and hopefully before the season comes they’ll find a home for themselves.
“Because they are all good lads, they’re all 100 per cent behind everything we’ve done here and I want to help them as much as I can to help them find a home.”
