Hatters stars could be set for social media training

Luton Town’s stars could be set to receive social media training to help them better engage with supporters according to managing director Gary Sweet, writes Mark Wood.

With virtually all of the Hatters squad on the likes of Twitter and Facebook the issues generated by them are increasing.

Sweet admitted: “Of course they are (issues), not just from players but also staff and businesses generally get more issues over social networking than they used to when it didn’t exist of course. Everybody’s a journalist now aren’t they.”

One player who courted controversy over Twitter last season was midfielder Danny Spiller who departed the club this season without ever making a senior appearance.
