Hatters reveal they rejected bids on deadline day

LUTON Town have confirmed they rejected a number of bids during yesterday’s transfer deadline day, while the club also missed out on another signing themselves, writes Mark Wood,

Town turned down two permanent offers and two season-long loan deals, while they failed in their bid to sign another target – although that deal could be revisited when the loan window re-opens in a week’s time.

Luton managing director Gary Sweet said: “We’ve been looking for one other player who will remain nameless.

“The deal hasn’t come off yet. The other player isn’t an urgent transfer.”

While manager Gary Brabin added: “There’s been a couple of bids, but it doesn’t interest us at all.”
