All of Hatters’ 1,863 tickets have been snapped up, with 1,500 sold on Friday to season tickets holders who bought the remaining tickets of the allocation.

A statement on the Town official website said: “The club are currently in discussions with Cambridge whether a further allocation can be made to Luton supporters at the Abbey Stadium for the game on March 11.

“The ticket office are now going through the reconciliation process of these tickets, which includes a list of supporters who contacted the ticket office after tickets came off sale.

“If any further tickets become available from Cambridge these will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to the people on the list collected by the ticket office.

“Please note that no further requests via email or phone will be taken on Cambridge tickets until such time that a decision has been made on any potential further allocation.

“It is hoped we will be able to make an announcement on Monday morning.

“We would like to place on record our thanks to all supporters for their patience and understanding on a busy day of business at the ticket office; as well as applauding the astonishing response to purchasing tickets.”
