Hatters remain in the hunt for Canaries midfielder

Hatters boss John Still remains hopeful of bringing Norwich City midfielder Cameron McGeehan back to the club next season.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a hugely promising spell at Kenilworth Road after joining on loan from the Canaries in January, scoring three goals in 18 appearances.

He has since returned to his parent club, but Still said: “We’ve spoken to Norwich and are waiting for them to come back now.”

Still had been waiting to see who was appointed manager at Carrow Road after Chris Hughton was sacked in April.

Youth team coach Neil Adams has since been upgraded from caretaker manager to the permanent role, with McGeehan well known to him, as he was captain when Norwich won the FA Youth Cup.

Whether Adams’ appointment would see McGeehan have a better chance of making the first team, Still felt remained to be seen though.
