Hatters rated v Wrexham

Mark Tyler: 7 – Busier of the two keepers and had to be alert at the death to save the Hatters.

Dean Beckwith: 6.5 – Rejuvenated defender barely put a foot wrong as the Red Dragons were unable to expose Town’s lack of pace at the back.

Janos Kovacs: 6.5 – Giant Hungarian dominated the aerial tussles and looked one of Luton’s biggest threats at set-pieces.

Alex Lawless: 7.5 – Most composed Hatter on the pitch and Town were at their best when he got it down and played.

Jon Shaw: 6 – Luton have missed his aerial presence but rarely got the service and, when he did, failed to take his chance.

Scott Rendell: 6 – Helped to give the Hatters a more robust look in attack but never really got a sight of goal.

Jake Howells: 5 – Given a torrid time early on and never really looked at the races before injury forced him off.

Stuart Fleetwood: 5.5 – Another who looked out of sorts for the Hatters and was very much on the periphery before being replaced by Walker.

JJ O’Donnell: 5.5 – One of the youngster’s least effective outings and the ball just wouldn’t stick in the middle for him.

Ronnie Henry: 6 – Fought hard and competed well as the visitors enjoyed more success out wide than Luton.

Andre Gray: 6.5 – Heavy first touches didn’t help his cause but the youngster has pace to burn and gave the Red Dragons a real headache at times.

Lathaniel Rowe-Turner (sub): 7 – Had to come from the bench but slotted in immediately, looked assured and was always there when needed.

Dan Walker (sub): 6 – Pace aplenty but had to live largely on scraps, although his introduction did give Town added impetus.

Yaser Kasim (sub): 6 – Brought on late on to settle things down in the middle as Town regained a foothold in the midfield.
