Lathaniel Rowe-Turner: 6.5 – Another controlled showing at centre-half from the adaptable defender.

Alex Lawless: 6.5 – Switched to right-back with ease and is one of Town’s most reliable performers at present.

Scott Rendell: 6 – Won a few flicks but was unable to dominate Skem’s backline.

Jake Howells: 7 – Pressed his claims for a first team place with an energetic and thoughtful display.

Simon Ainge: 6 – Sound enough at the back, but without being the dominating force that boss Buckle craves.

Arnaud Mendy: 5.5 – Kept possession well and won his fair share of ball, but missed the foil of the tireless Smith.

James Dance: 5.5 – Looked lively early on and caused Skem’s backline a few problems.

Matt Robinson: 5 – Kept things ticking in the middle but wasn’t the driving force Town needed.

Dan Walker: 5.5 – Well marshalled and struggled to make an impression on Skem’s defence.

Jerome Jibodu: 5 – Stepped up to the plate with a steady showing on his debut.

Andre Gray (sub): 6 – Half time introduction enlivened Luton and took his goal well.

Stuart Fleetwood (sub): 6 – Integral to both goals and looked lively when he saw the ball.

Adam Watkins (sub): 6 – Scored the important opening goal that set Town on their way to victory.
