Hatters rated v Lincoln

Mark Tyler: 7 – Put under pressure from set-pieces but stood up to it well, made some good saves and little chance with the goal.

Ronnie Henry: 6.5 – Showed plenty of strength as he put in a solid showing at right-back.

Simon Ainge: 7.5 – Defence backed off for the goal but proceeded to dominate under the Imps’ aerial bombardment.

Connor Essam: 7 – Composed at the back and looks to have forged a good partnership with Essam, although again he retreated for the goal.

Jake Howells: 6.5 – Looked better when pushed forward and full of energy and running.

Alex Lawless: 7 – Impossible to fault on a week-to-week basis, again Town’s most effective midfielder.

Jake Robinson: 6 – Some intelligent passing and found holes, but sacrificed to make Town more solid.

JJ O’Donnell: 6.5 – Won the free-kick that led to Shaw’s strike and made a nuisance of himself – still not always physically strong enough.

Andre Gray: 7 – Pace and power created the first, but booked for diving and heavy touch let him down on occasion.

Scott Rendell: 6 – Physical presence put Lincoln under pressure, but dead leg forced him off.

Stuart Fleetwood: 7 – Always lurking on the shoulder and created the second, but should have had a couple himself.

Yaser Kasim (sub): 6 – Got stuck in and earned himself a yellow card as he tried to waste a few seconds.
