Hatters rated v Kidderminster Harriers

Lathaniel Rowe-Turner: 6 – Did OK at left-back but looked more solid when moved into the centre in place of McNulty, where his pace was a real asset.

Steve McNulty: 5 – Mobile Harriers hassled him at every opportunity and he needed to be stronger when fouled for their second goal.

Jon Shaw: 5.5 – Too often found himself out wide when as a natural goalscorer he needed to be in the centre.

Scott Rendell: 6 – Had Town’s two best chances in the first half and was unfortunate to be taken off.

Jake Howells: 5.5 – Wasted out on the right and although he got some half decent crosses in he always looks to get on his left foot.

Simon Ainge: 5 – Far too many misplaced passes on the day and this time looked like a centre-half playing full-back.

David Martin: 5 – Had the right intentions but little came off for the lively winger who struggled to get into the game.

Matt Robinson: 6.5 – Youngster can hold his head high, put in a decent shift, tried hard and threaded a good ball through for Gray’s goal.

Jake Goodman: 5.5 – Harshly pulled up by the referee in the first half for fouling, but showed good maturity after McNulty was subbed.

Solomon Taiwo: 5.5 – One of the few players who looked to bring the ball down, but not a lot came off for him.

Scott Griffiths (sub): 6 – Came on in a difficult situation and looked comfortable as Harriers didn’t score with him on the pitch.

Jonathan Smith (sub): 5.5 – Never really got a head of steam up but contributed where he could.

Andre Gray: 6 – Pace enlivened Luton, took his goal well and was a threat whenever he got free.
