Hatters rated v Dartford

Mark Tyler: 7 – Pulled off several fine stops and given absolutely no chance by the goal.

Janos Kovacs: 6 – Defended robustly as Town were put under the cosh for long periods.

Jon Shaw: 5 – Hardly given a sniff by the Darts defence all evening.

Jake Howells: 5.5 – Saw plenty of the ball and looked to make tracks down the left.

Arnaud Mendy: 4 – Completely off the pace as Town were overrun in the centre of midfield.

Scott Neilson: 7 – Direct running caused the Darts plenty of problems and looked Luton’s most likely contributor.

Jonathan Smith: 5.5 – Chasing shadows for much of the night, but a willing runner all the same.

Ronnie Henry: 5.5 – Overlapped from right-back and put in a number of inviting crosses.

Andre Gray: 5 – Marked out of the game but went close when he fired against the near post.

Steve McNulty: 6.5 – Another battling, no thrills performance, but was exposed late on.

David Martin: 5.5 – Tried to get forward against his former club but was constantly crowded out.

Scott Rendell (sub): 5.5 – Found some holes following his introduction and created the odd half chance.

JJ O’Donnell (sub): 5.5 – Energetic terrier tried to hassle the Darts but to no avail.

Greg Taylor (sub): 5 – Threatened late on but not enough time to make an impact.
