Alex Lawless: 6.5: - Classy midfielder did nothing wrong, but found himself on the periphery of the action.

Scott Griffiths: 8 - -Ferocious full-back shone with his lung-busting effort and wholehearted defending on a night not for the faint-hearted.

Cameron McGeehan: 7 - Combative midfielder won plenty of ball in the middle of the park as Luton’s youthful midfield impressed.

Matt Robinson: 7.5 - Walked a tightrope after picking up his first half booking, but scored a fine goal and should have had another as his header was somehow kept out as part of an excellent all-round display.

Ronnie Henry: 7 - Experienced skipper stuck to his task well against lively ex-Hatter Scott Neilson.

Paul Benson: 7 - Target man again proved awkward for the Mariners and showed a real poacher’s instinct to net the winner.

Andre Gray: 7.5 - Livewire striker played a full part as he terrorised the home defence, but left his shooting boots at home.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu: 8 - Powerful midfielder was back to his best with a number of blistering breaks, but was given nothing by some intransigent refereeing.
