Steve McNulty: 8.5 - Immense display from the centre half who was up against the hulking Akinde. Never stopped rallying the troops from the first whistle.

Alfie Mawson: 7.5 - Looked to have seamlessly slotted into Town’s defence and a real shame injury forced him off.

Jonathan Smith: 8 - Won the midfield battle as he continues to be a vital cog for the Hatter.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu: 7.5 - Young Hammers loanee wasn’t overawed on his first league start and energy was a big factor as the game wore on.

Alex Lawless: 7.5 - Quietish first half but always eager to get involved and produced a calm finish in the second period.

Luke Guttridge: 8.5 - Back to his string pulling best, particularly in the opening 25 minutes. Stunning pass for Gray’s first goal and was on target himself.

Andre Gray: 8.5 - Striker is confident and bang in form, as shown by his first finish. So quick and powerful, his parternship with Benson is becoming one to relish.

Paul Benson: 8 - Linking up almost telepathically with Gray now as proved for the third goal. Exquisite finish for his own strike too.

Joe Davis: 7 - Thrust on with Town 4-0 to the good, but still had to do his fair share of defending in the second half as stood up to the challenge.
