Hatters have lead cut to four points

Luton Town saw their lead at the top of the Skrill Premier cut to four points by Cambridge United this afternoon, writes Mike Simmonds.

With Hatters’ clash against Wrexham postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, the U’s drew 1-1 at FC Halifax to move to within four points, although Richard Money’s side do still have two games in hand.

Meanwhile, Grimsby were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Gateshead and although have two games in hand on Luton, are now 12 points adrift.

The U’s will be back to one game beind on Tuesday evening, as they travel to struggling Tamworth.

Town are next in action when they host Nuneaton on Saturday.
