Hatters fall out of the play-off places

LUTON Town slipped out of the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off places for the first time since December after York City won 1-0 at bottom club Bath City last night.

The Minstermen leapfrogged Town courtesy of Patrick McLaughlin’s 50th minute strike at Twerton Park, putting York into the play-offs on goal difference.

Gary Mills’ side are now level on points with Luton, heaping even more importance on Friday night’s meeting between the two sides at Kenilworth Road, live on Premier Sports TV.

Hatters saw the gap to the chasing pack cut by a point too as Grimsby Town drew 1-1 at Tamworth.

At the top, Wrexham maintained their title chances with a 4-2 victory over Darlington.
