Hatters drop to sixth after Kidderminster win

Hatters fell nine points behind Blue Square Bet Premier leaders Grimsby Town and dropped to sixth in the table after yesterday’s results, writes Mike Simmonds.

While Town were knocking Championship side Wolves out of the FA Cup, the Mariners were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Hereford.

They still managed to go back to the summit after Newport County and Wrexham played out a 1-1 draw on Friday night, although Hatters do have three games in hands on Grimsby and Wrexham, along with two on Newport.

Forest Green Rovers moved five points clear of Town after a 1-0 win at Hyde, while Luton were leapfrogged by Kidderminster Harriers who defeated Luton’s Tuesday night oponents Barrow 2-0.

Former Hatters boss Richard Money saw his Cambridge side within a point of the Hatters after defeating Stockport 4-1, though Luton again have three games in hand on the U’s.
