Hatters bullish on keeping starlets

TOWN boss Gary Brabin is confident the Hatters will be able to hold on to their talented youngsters as the January transfer window opened on Sunday, writes Mark Wood.

With large numbers of scouts a common fixture at Kenilworth Road and a plethora of players being linked to moves to higher division clubs, Brabin asserted that Luton do not need to sell their prize assets.

He said: “When there’s clubs interested in players it’s always a good, healthy situation.

“We have a lot of scouts that come to our games and that bodes well. If you’ve got good, young talented players who are an asset to the club, you are going to get interest.

“But we are not a selling club and have ambitions to certainly get promotion and we want to produce players.”
