The U’s went down to only their second defeat of the campaign, losing 1-0 at Hereford United, although still have a game in hand over Luton.

When asked about the defeat for Cambridge, Still said: “You’re going to call me a liar, but I’ve got no interest in that, I really haven’t.

“This job, at any level, for any team, for any manager is a really hard job if you take your eye off the ball and worry about what other teams can do.

“I’ve learned over the years, I’m just going to worry about my football club, we’re just going to go out every game and do everything we can.

“At the end of the season, if we’re the best team we’re going to come first. If we’re the second best team we’re going to come second and if we’re the third best team, we’re going to come third.

“So I can’t worry about that.”
