Hatters boss thrilled by travelling army

Town chief Paul Buckle was full of praise for Luton’s travelling fans who spurred them on to victory at Kidderminster on Tuesday night, writes Mark Wood.

Many more than the official figure of 542 seemed to be in the 2,275 attendance at Aggborough to witness Hatters’ first victory of the season.

And Buckle believes that the away following have a full part to play this season.

He said: “I was delighted to see how many Luton fans turned up.

“I would like to thank them all, the support is incredible. We are going to need it again, and again and again this season.

“We didn’t disappoint, we turned up, we got out of the blocks and I thought we were magnificent.

“It’s a real happy dressing room, it’s a proper dressing room, where we can all look each other in the eye and say yeah we had a right go, and that’s all I ask.

“I go back to the fans because they play a major role.

“They’ll have you, like I said at the weekend, if you’re not up to it and not up for it.

“But if you are having a real go and a fight they’ll get right behind you and they are some force.”
