Hatters boss praises ‘inspirational’ Hartson
Boss Paul Buckle paid tribute to an ‘inspirational’ John Hartson after the former Town striker was the star guest at Town’s Christmas Dinner on Friday night, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 37-year-old started his career at Kenilworth Road, making over 50 appearances before moving to Arsenal for £2.5million.
Hartson, who recently beat a lengthy battle with cancer, spoke for almost an hour at the event held at the Chiltern Hotel, which was compered by actor, presenter and writer Tom Watt.
When asked for this thoughts on the evening, Buckle said: “Inspirational. Very rarely through a season do you get the chance to switch off when you’re playing Saturday and Tuesday like we are.
“He’s a gentleman and to meet him for the first time was fantastic. To listen to his life story was just incredible.”
