Hatters boss may still make a move in loan market

Hatters boss John Still hasn’t given up hope of resurrecting a deal for the mystery target he missed out on transfer deadline day, writes Mark Wood.

Still was left frustrated in his attempts to bring in a new player before the window closed last Monday when a move away for unwanted striker Scott Rendell fell through at the last minute.

But he’s hopeful that Luton will be able to find a new club for the striker after the emergency loan window re-opened on Monday.

If the Hatters can complete a move for the transfer-listed striker, Still may be able to revisit the deal he had lined up.

He said: “It’s not entirely dead, let’s wait and see.”

Still seemed to rule out any loans moves in unless he knew someone would then be signing permanently or in the case of an emergency.
